Welcome to the Connecticut School of Professional Studies Pharmacy Technician Training Program

Welcome to Connecticut School of Professional Studies, and congratulations on taking your first step towards a new and exciting career! Since our school was founded in 1994, hundreds of students just like you have passed through our doors, obtaining valuable skills that allowed them to begin exciting and rewarding careers.

Pharmacy technicians are in high demand – the number of pharmacies has exploded in recent years, with pharmacies in hospitals, nursing homes, grocery stores and on almost every street corner. These pharmacies need trained professionals to assist the pharmacist in dispensing medication to patients.

Most employers require certification, and prefer to hire candidates who have completed formal training. The program at CSPS will teach you the rules and regulations of pharmacology, how to perform pharmaceutical calculations, mix and prepare medications, verify insurance and prescription information. The program mixes classroom instruction, hands-on training and a “real-world” internship with a local pharmacy.

Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to take the certification exam offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board to become a Certified Pharmacy
Technician (CPhT)
.

So whether you are currently unemployed, unhappy with your current job, or just ready for a change, Connecticut School of Professional Studies can help you get back on track. Call us today and get started on your new career!
